Technology has influenced the way we teach and learn and students have used technology in many facets of their learning environment.  The term “digital natives” has been used to describe our students while we, the educators, are considered as “digital immigrants”.  But we do not have to live this divide!

Themed “Rethinking Pedagogies: Creating Possibilities Through Digital, Interactive and Media", ICET 2007 will focus on how innovations in ICT like gaming and interactive digital media have created a new environment for teaching and learning in the new century. The conference will be another mammoth event involving many international keynote and invited speakers. There will be a total of four specialised tracks representing academics, researchers, schools, government organisation and the industries. Participants will also be able to have hands on trial on the latest gaming in our new Experiential Zone showcase to understand why youths are so engrossed in this activity and how we can capitalise on this to promote learning.

This conference gives you a chance to share and learn about the use of digital content and devices so that you can make full use of ICT to enhance your teaching and learning.

See you in November 2007!
